The difference between pig bago and two-layer skin

There are significant differences in material and processing between pig bago and two-layer skin. Pig Bago, made from the top layer of pig skin as raw material, has undergone special processing to form a unique suede texture, often referred to as musk skin, Bago or Bago.

Pig Bago, a special material known as musk skin, Bago or Bago, is actually formed by finely polishing the top layer of pig skin. It is commonly referred to as ground pigskin, and this unique suede texture makes it an ideal choice for casual shoe fabrics.

In the leather processing, in order to obtain a larger quantity and uniform thickness of leather, a device called a layering machine is used to divide thicker animal skin, usually cowhide, into several layers. The leather obtained in this way is called two-layer leather.

The difference between pig bago and two-layer skin

Compared to other animal skins, pigskin has a thinner thickness, so only one layer of material can be made without the need for layering. This kind of pigskin is often processed into pigskin, and the shoe uppers made from it have excellent wear resistance. When touched, the hand feels smooth and soft. In addition, the price of Pig Bago is relatively low, with obvious cost-effectiveness advantages. However, it should be noted that there may be some challenges when cleaning pig bago.

The two-layer skin is made by special processing of the relatively loose fibrous tissue of the skin. This processing method usually involves spraying with chemical materials or covering with a layer of PVC or PU film to enhance its durability and aesthetics.

When the second layer leather is used to modify the surface leather, a coating solution made of various chemical materials is applied multiple times to enhance its surface aesthetics and durability. Subsequently, specific patterns are created through pressing techniques to produce various styles of two-layer leather.
